About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To make the book of my life the longest, most exciting, most interesting novel I can.

ABOUT ME

Sensible, laid-back traveler with no frills always willing to lend a helping hand. :)

PHILOSOPHY

Life's a journey, your own personal novel. The beginning of the novel and the ending of the novel are the same for everyone - you're born, and you die. It's the middle that makes a novel great - and what controls the middle is you. I refuse to let my story end without doing everything I could to make it the most interesting story I could. I want my story to be a best seller.

Everything happens for a reason. Keep smiling, keep living, and never, ever let anyone slow you down. In the words of the great Eleanor Roosevelt - "Nobody can make you feel inferior without your consent". :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I need a place to stay, most likely. As a guest, I'm quiet as a mouse and can make myself invisible if need be. Or I can talk and laugh with you. Say the word. :)

Interests

In my free time I listen to musical soundtracks, read nonfiction books about nothing, and train for 5k's. I love musicals, Disney, and fun food! :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't watch movies very often, I'll admit, but I enjoy lighthearted things like musicals, romantic comedies, and especially Disney. Horror, suspense, action, and anything that ends sadly is not for me. I enjoy happy endings and fun adventures. Same goes for books.

I prefer more nonfiction, and read mostly books about things that don't concern me at all just for fun.

Music I enjoy the things I enjoy - I'd never outright dislike a music, though there are a few I'd wrinkle my nose at. Musical theatre soundtracks and easy listening dominate my playlists mostly. I like things that make me feel calm and relaxed.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In Costa Rica, I helped hatch baby leatherback sea turtle eggs, and then freed the babies into the ocean under the moonlight. I'll never forget watching those little babies make their way to the ocean. It was like something from a dream.
