ABOUT ME

I'm studying foreign languages (German and Russian), currently spending a year in Germany which is great! I'm pretty outgoing, always wanting to be busy and try out new things. But I'm also growing to appreciate spending time just chilling with friends or enjoying old things that I know make me happy! :)

PHILOSOPHY

Something a guy I worked with last summer always said..."it's all about the story". It's worth being adventurous - if it turns out well, great; if not, it may at least make a good story to tell afterwards!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment I can't really offer anyone a place to stay, just a cup of coffee or equivalent! But when I have my own place, I'd like to be able to return the favour and have people as my guests!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed couches with lovely people in Bremen and Oldenburg in March 09. Really looking forward to being able to host people some time in the future!

Movies - I mostly like comedy or drama, not a big fan of action or horror movies! Some names that spring to mind of films I've enjoyed recently....Atonement, das Wunder von Bern, Love Actually, Stand by Me, Nirgendwo in Afrika, the Curious Case of Benjamin Button, North and South (BBC series!), the Holiday, Wer früher stirbt ist länger tot....

Books - I really want to try to read more!! At uni it's hard, as there's so much to read anyway that you don't have much time to read for pleasure! This year I've tried to read only in German....Hartmut und ich, Geld oder Leben and Gut gegen Nordwind were good books...

I want to learn to play the guitar! And would love to know a bit of Spanish too. Hmmm, what could I teach? Maybe to play the piano, or to do some poi (though I'm not very good myself!). I'll have a think!
