I'm a musician (mainly guitar) and a simple being keen to explore cultures, gain perspective and find out what existence has to offer as well as what I can offer it.

I'm currently teaching guitar in young in Australia but will be traveling at the end of 2016. I was fortunate enough to win a weeks worth of accommodation and ski passes for Saint Martin de Belleville for two people so I thought I'd embrace the opportunity.

I wish to indulge in the cultures of each country I visit, not just see the sights. I am traveling to learn as much as I possibly can and to make as many friends as I can. Spread the love.

I believe the reason we come into consciousness is to learn from our experiences, to indulge the senses, to explore the physical and mental realms, to simply exist and be.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

My reason for being on couch surfing is to be able to fully indulge myself in the cultures of the world and to hopefully one day be able to help as many people as I can. I feel through couch surfing I will meet far more open minded and long term friends. Currently my living situations are quite privileged but small so sadly I'm unable to host until I return next year.
In my hometown many people come for the cherry season which I will gladly have people stay for once I have my own property.

Intereses

My biggest interest in life is sound. Anything to do with music is my passion. I thoroughly enjoy all styles of jazz and EDM. I value and enjoy listening to any and all sounds.
I also love camping, hiking, stargazing, all paired with the existential thinking. Simply ponder and observe.
I'm a huge fan of food and love going out to fancy dress dinners and having a full belly of beer 😏

Música, películas y libros

All music. Favourite bands include Snarky Puppy, Radiohead, Incubus, Copeland, all EDM.

As for movies I'm a massive fan of psychological thrillers, Sci-fi and the odd romantic comedy. I love having to think about what's happening in the movie along with heaps of twists and turns.

I read quite a few philosophical books and brain activity/awareness books but I must get more into reading. Always happy to check out recommendations.

Every day, when teaching guitar I feel I'm doing something amazing. They say "find a job you love and you'll never work a day in your life" and that is exactly how I feel. One of the most rewarding feelings I've experienced is to see a musical spark ignite a fire within a student and they're musical progression skyrockets. We each find our own way of communicating our emotions, and this is just one way.

I was born in the Netherlands and lived there for 5 years then moved to Australia. However, luckily I have kept both languages and am now fluent in both English and Dutch.
I feel the most important thing I can share with any being is my time and attention. Exchanging ideas and learning from one another is profoundly rewarding.
