ABOUT ME

I am a very friendly person, may seem a little reserved at first, but once the ice is broken i'm a great person to have around! Very strong willed and optimistic, with plenty of ideas and opinions about the things around me, social issues and life in general. I love to talk to people to find out more about them as I feel that each individual is special, and at the same time, I'll make sure to be a good conversation partner :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's my second time back on this platform after a trip to America in 2012. I like the experiences that couch surfing has given me, and also heard many stories from fellow surfers whom I meet. It is all about the sharing of cultures, insights from all around the world, making new friends and really getting to know a place from a local's perspective.

Instead of just passing through as a traveler.

Currently in New Zealand on Working Holiday!

When I have my place soon (it's on my way), will host in Singapore too!

Interests

I am a very adventurous and daring person, always wanted to try new things, experience exotic stuff. I usually make sure to always be learning something new every couple of years, to simply have fun and increase my skill set. I play a wide range of sports from soccer to billards, and also a couple of extreme sports like diving and surfing. And there are still so many more that I plan to try out in the future! In Singapore where I am still a student, I spend most of my time studying, because I have to, and also, I make sure to keep active, doing alot of outdoor activites and working out!

Since then have graduated and working as a real estate broker. Still, nothing much of the natural terrain to explore in Singapore, so am glad that on this trip I checked off skateboarding, surfing (AGAIN) and Snowboarding!

Would really love to get better at them though.

Bonus: I learnt how to cook during the trip.
Next thing to try: Multi day hike.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - I listen to mainly chinese music, with a scattering of English top hits. Mainly because my exposure was mainly to mandarin songs. However, I like singing and enjoy music. Can always appreciate great tunes.

Movies - The Dark Knight is always a standout to me whenever i'm asked about my favorite movies. Can never seem to forget how the show made me feel. I like Dwayne Johnson too, so his movies are always enjoyable to me.

Books - No favorite, I read borrow from the library and read plenty!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

First, I would pick my holiday to the Dominican Republic to be amazing, it was a brand new experience to me at that time, the lifestyle, the people i met, all of whom were amazing individuals with vast life experiences and stories to share. And of course, catching my very first wave and riding it to shore. Awesome!
