About Me
CURRENT MISSION
being the change I want to see in the world and learning to let go more then I used to.
ABOUT ME
I live with my daughter Asja (14) and three dogs: Kigs (13), Ruri (3) and Nala (a 6 month puppy). We live in a country house near Zagreb.
Ours is a non-smoking house. I tend to eat gluten-free stuff. And avoid refined sugars and diary.
Helping around is more than welcome. :) Single parents could never be more grateful for it!
We aren’t so rich to offer food to all the guests that come over, and we'd appreciate your sensibility to chip in and share the expenses for the meals you will eat with us, 'cause we're not able to give more than the accommodation/bathroom/smiles & tips... If you plan to buy the stuff that only you'll eat, just skip this issue! :)
As this food situation happens to continuously repeat itself and people take our hospitality for granted, eating every meal with us and not thinking that it’s not cool from them to think how they’re nicely saving their money while living off someone else’s, I will only consider the future requests who wrote me that they understood that they will or share the food expenses with us (by asking for the piggy bank for the food expenses and putting the cash they find appropriate for the meals shared) or they will have their own food arrangements. Also, please don’t extend your stay without discussing it with us before you make your own decision to stay longer, as we’re not happy having guest longer than we accepted them and would love to be able to make our own plans further on.
And yes, we have a small request from our guests: we'd kindly ask you to bring us a teaspoon as a present. Any kind of a teaspoon (except a plastic one), as a reminder of you passing by, something that might make us laugh (or cry) or bring back some memories... You know... The teaspoon might be old or new; it might have a story of how you got it (that would be pretty nice!), or a story how it traveled to get to Croatia or anything related. Thanks! Please mention the teaspoon in your request and be sure to have it as it’s not nice to promise it and then pretend it never happened. Yeah, we had situations like those.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm curious about everything this life has made up for us to explore.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I can’t go around as much as before so I’m happy to have the world come to me.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I mostly had great experiences, yet from the least nice ones I learned so much, so it's a win-win situation in any way
Interests
I love people in general, kids, dogs... I love cooking (even though being a single mum doesn't really allow me to cook as creatively as I'd want ), I love arts, crafts, crocheting, writing, good movies (not too much time for those either)...

Music, Movies, and Books
I love old Czech movies, a bit silly ones that make your imagination sparkle and put a smile on your face..
I love singing so anything that is singable is good (I'm terribly bad with memorising lyrics unless it's a children's song).. And I love swing dancing - lindy hop, balboa and the authentic jazz. :)
Books that I read lately are mostly those regarding the personal growth and shorter books or stories since I became an avid k drama fan.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiking in Alaska, getting soaked on the way up, ending dressed only in a transparent raincoat, and still having a smile on. It was amazing being up there!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you whatever I know, whatever tingles your curiosity. :)
