About Me

Hello! My name is Borja, I am from Barcelona, Spain. I am currently traveling for an indeterminate time since January 2019. I am an easy going person with sense of humor and eager to learn new things and meet new friends and see new places all around the world. I like to cook and to eat obviously, I like to draw and read, good movies, beer, tattoos, metal music, nature, wild life, sunsets, play the guitar(although my list of songs is limited), I like to travel of course and I enjoy a peaceful environment rather than party one.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am mainly in couchsurfing cause I want to travel Japan but I am terrified about the prices in hostels in some cities.

Interests

I am interested in learning different cultures by first hand local people, and I think couchsurfing can be a good tool for this.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like metal music mostly, but I enjoy classic rock, reggae, 80’s, and basically good music. About movies I like scienci fiction ones like space movies, also fantasy, and thrillers. But my all time fav I would say Pulp Fiction, what can I say..
About books I enjoyed reading The magic mountain by Thomas Mann, my fav for years was Steppenwolf by Hesse although its not anymore maybe. Haruki Murakami is good, and well I always wanted to read the basics and classics, so Hemingway, Dostoyevski, Tolstoi, Lovecraft. Now traveling I read what I find interesting and available in hostels from time to time but I am thinking on getting a Kindle.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Quit my job and pack my bag to travel

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach Spanish, cook tortilla de patatas(spanish omelete) or risotto, basic guitar songs. And I am open to learn new recipes as well as other languages. I like to learn basic words and expressions wherever I travel.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my culture, my smile and good vibes.

Countries I’ve Visited

Andorra, Belgium, Cambodia, France, Greece, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Italy, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Norway, Romania, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Thailand, Vatican City State, Viet Nam
