ABOUT ME

It's been an interesting ride so far in this life. Married to a brilliant, beautiful strong-willed woman, we have 4 children, and don't quite have room for a couch at the present time. I enjoy learning to play classical guitar, have been shedding some pounds learning about martial arts (always fascinated with movies closely related to the subject), and we both love to shoot for the ideal of living authentically, where intention is everything.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is series of lessons and experiences, some need repeating, others do not. We're put where were need to be, and move on when we're ready - not quite fate exactly, though that exists for those that believe. Our reality is as bleak or as full of sunshine as we wish and allow it to be.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We weren't put here on a planet with a few billion other people to stay socked away in our hovels plugged into the boob tube. It's about making connections with other living human beings. Not everyone 'wakes up' in this life, and I certainly 'fall asleep' way more often than I'd like. The path is wonderful in it's ups and downs.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We are brand new, so possibly timid for the time being. We've traveled abroad a little, my hi-tech mother (who out does my 'network security left-brained computer-oriented' existence) got me not only to join Facebook.com, but also now Couchsurfing. We look forward to having a couch to share when our children are older.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I have so much to learn...I feel I'm still a beginner. To be able to teach, I think I'd have to know so much more. Some of these questions run together for me - perhaps a lack of discernment on my part. There's so much more to each of us than perhaps we ever acknowledge ourselves. Being mindful of our own space and feelings, and how we affect and are affected by others seems a worthy life-long pursuit.
