ABOUT ME

My wife and I are traveling around the world. We started our life together in the sleepy town of Grinnell Iowa in college and then promptly moved to the bustling town of Tokyo Japan. Tokyo occupied our lives for 8 years giving us a few opportunities to travel thanks to the money, but never enough time to truly appreciate the culture and people in the way that we wanted to. So we dropped the time consuming activity of working and are now traveling around the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In the year 2000 I had the choice between the Olympics and hiking 250km by myself in the wilderness near Melbourne Australia. The two weeks of hiking the Great Southwest Walk near Portland Australia were some of the most amazing days of my life in terms of nature, reflection, and confronting the many fears I had of the Australian wilderness.
