About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I love to travel the world, meet people and explore...all on a budget!
ABOUT ME
Fun loving, intelligent and interested in people who've traveled. Enjoy listening to travel tales. I'm a culture vulture...concerts, Shakespeare in the park, art museums...always up for attending freebie cultural events (usually once or twice a week). No drink-drugs-smoke. I love the adventure of travel but respect traditional values. Open to hosting people who are of like mind. Drinking OK if minimal. Smoking and drugs = not negotiable.
PHILOSOPHY
Treat others the way you would like to be treated. Enjoy every day - you never know when it will be your last! People who complain about life suck the air from a room. I enjoy like minded people - positive, energetic, adventurous but responsible.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Can provide space for one and will typically be traveling by myself or with one other when I am a guest. I am respectful of others property, responsible and independent. Would love it if we could spend time together but it's not necessary if you have other commitments. If you come here, I'll give you a great mini-tour of St. Louis! Very open to International guests even if your English is limited.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None..."officially". Been surfing and hosting for years on my own - with friends and fellow travelers - just now found out about this great site!
Interests
All kinds. Stayed with an OBE in London, house sat for a Professor in NYC, babysat for room and board in Paris. I have friends from Africa, Brazil, Canada, Israel, China, Europe and all over the USA in my life today. And any one of them would be most welcome in my small abode!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Bob Dylan, Rachmaninoff, Miles Davis, Led Zeppelin
Movies: La Vie en Rose, The Last Emperor, The Wizard of Oz, No Country for Old Men
Books: Invisible Man, Mrs. Dalloway, Sometimes a Great Notion, The Collected Stories of Mavis Gallant.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Lived in London during "Live Aid". Every radio, TV, taxi, etc. had the concert blasting. You could leave the flat for a walk and not miss a bit of the concert. The music was playing all over the city all day and night. One of those days I will never forget...especially because the event raised money which saved thousands of lives.
Teach, Learn, Share
Excellent at coaching someone with less than perfect English skills. Great at organizing messy areas. Superior at finding fun, free things to do. Tour guiding. Have done all of these things for pay in the past but would enjoy sharing them with other surfers.
