About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I recently got married (Mexico, Dec 2020)! And my wife loves traveling and hosting strangers as much as I do. I'm the luckiest. Currently, my mission is to write a book about peoples experience crossing borders. My last book was about a bike trip across the country (a lot of couch surfing stories, obviously).

My wife, Okolo's mission is to build her flight attendant career and maybe get into psychology. Together we travel around, study and act like nerds at the coffee shop, and look for places to take pretty pictures and let loose.

We are all about living the most adventurous, ambitious life possible that is true to our selves and not looking back.

Hablamos español, falo portugués - 和我会说中文,

We look forward to meeting you and will GLADLY treat you to a night on the town - it's the least we could do. We will also draw you a cute little map picture for your refrigerator!

(My previous mission, ~2018, for posterity)

Recently I got a school bus from Florida. My intention was to turn this recently "graduated" public school bus into a freaky adventure mobile that can bring zest and adventure to other people's lives. So far so good, and it's only a month out. We took 8 people, a dog, and a documentarian across the country experience challenges and epiphanies together. I got to watch a girl come to tears because she had never seen the desert before. I watched people enter a journey without knowing why, and then find their new purpose/direction while on the journey. I live for this.

Now it is just my friend James and I and we are creatively exploring Los Angeles for a few weeks. My goal is to return east later this summer and continue my mission of helping people find adventure in their lives no matter who they are or what their abilities are.

By the time you read this I probably will have dropped off James and be heading back east across the country.

About Boz:

If I was an animal I'd be a Golden Retriever because I love fetch and frisbees and playing in water. I hate fences and leashes though so please don't try to domesticate me.

Ever since my first great journey everything began to seem so possible. Everywhere seemed so close. Everywhere I go feels like home. One day I want the whole world to feel like home, and every person to feel like my friend.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Illegally crossed the border into my own country.

Teach, Learn, Share

I think the best bicycle route in America is from Big Bend National Park to Austin TX. It goes through several very different landscapes and ecosystems and almost all the towns along the way are authentic, old American towns not yet spoiled by the big box store suburbia of the rest of country. Also there's the northern California coast but everyone already knows about that one.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Me and James have an array of power tools on the bus and abilities to match. We can garden or build something for you if you need.

If you're learning languages, Ill let you use my audible password and you can use my pimsleur courses. Portuguese, spanish, urdu, mandarin, polish.

Countries I’ve Visited

China, France, Germany, Jamaica, Mexico, Netherlands, Spain, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
