About Me

My name is Brad, I'm an average guy living in Toronto working in the film industry. I play guitar and play in a band, and I love anything to do with cars and motorsport.

I'm a big fan of couch surfing and think it is a great way to improve your travel experience. Meeting locals is such a great thing to help you appreciate wherever you are visiting.

I'm often out of town on weekends during the summer so can't host as much as I'd like, but feel free to send a request. Couch Surfing isn't about a free place to stay, it's about making friends and learning new things about the world. So if you're just looking for a free place then you may want to find a hostel.

I look forward to chatting!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started Couchsurfing in 2016 on a road trip through the US, and have been lucky to stay with others in Iceland and host people who have become friends.

Weekends are usually best for me to host. I can host weeknights if you can work with my working schedule though.

Interests

Travel, movies, music, a good beer after a long day of driving, and spending 12 hours per day driving across the continent.

In April of 2016 myself and a friend did a road trip from Toronto to Los Angeles with many stops in between. We made a documentary film about our journey and the people we met through Couchsurfing. You can check out the full movie below:

A UK-based travel site even wrote an article about the movie we made while couch surfing!

Then in 2019 we released a film about our travels in Iceland

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Led Zeppelin, Metallica, NoFX, Iron Maiden, Pink Floyd, George Thorogood and so much more (anything with a real instrument really)

Movies - Star Wars, Indiana Jones, No Country For Old Men, 2001: A Space Odyssey, and so many more (I'm a film geek)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Driven on the Nurburgring in Germany.

Jumped off a 40-foot cliff into water and landed on my back. Video evidence available.

Spent 155 hours in the car driving across the US.

Attended the Le Mans 24 hours in France summer of 2017.

Explored Iceland in 2018.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm always happy to share my wisdom on how films or TV shows are made. I also play guitar and love working on cars.

If you're staying at my place, I do have a propane barbecue, and air conditioning.
