About Me

ABOUT ME

24 year old fire fighter, I love traveling and seeing the world, experiencing new cultures and meeting people.

What drives me most is the having the ability to help people in any capacity; obviously thats why I got into the line of work that I'm in but it goes further than that. I find that being able to put a smile on someone face is the most rewarding thing in the world and I go out of my way to do it!

Growing up; I've always played a lot of different sports and I've found that the friends you make while sharing a common interest are the friends you'll have for ever. That's what is so great about CS; every time I go to a new city and link up with a new host, I instantly have new friend (who usually also loves traveling and has tons of cool stories) and has connections to a network of really great surfers and hosts!

I live in Edmonton Alberta and I have a background as a personal trainer, corrective exercise specialist and EMT.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meet new people on my travels. Host people and show them what Edmonton and Sherwood park have to offer.

Unfortunately, due to education and work I was unable to travel as much as I wanted to when I was younger and now i feel like I'm making up for lost time! For me, the best part about travelling is that you're allowed to be 100% yourself with everyone you meet. And with couch surfing I've found that can instantly find a network of awesome people in any city you go to.

I think everyone loves a good story, that's why we read books, go to the movies and spend so much time socializing. With CS you have the ability to meet people from all over the world and share stories, experiences and wisdom with them. It's an unbelievable opportunity and one of my biggest regrets is not getting into it earlier!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I've done... This is a hard one! I can't really think of anything that qualifies as "amazing" but something that I really enjoyed was my time working as a Helitack Firefighter in Alberta. So basically I would fly around in a helicopter with my fire crew and land in really remote areas and fight fires. The reason I found this experience so cool was that the areas we would go to were so remote and so inaccessible that we were likely the first humans to ever be there or see the wilderness in that exact spot. Also we would spend weeks at a time in the forest and with the wild life.

What I Can Share with Hosts
