Books I've recently read/enjoyed for leisure include Twilight of the Elites by Christopher Hayes, Before You Suffocate Your Own Fool Self by Danielle Evans, and The New Jim Crow by Michelle Alexander.

In terms of music, I enjoy a lot of pop (not much current Top 40's though), R&B (especially 90's), hip-hop, neo-soul, etc. I've recently gotten into the Seattle rapper Macklemore. Long time favorites include Lauryn Hill, Sam Cooke, Tracy Chapman, Beyonce, and others.

I don't watch a lot of movies, but I do enjoy a good documentary (especially historical docs).
