Overview
About Me
I grew up in Lake Orion, MI but I have been based in Austin, TX for the last four years. I am a recent graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. My degree is in Computer Science but I have become much more enamored with communication skills and with writing and with the idea of doing something within the sphere of entrepreneurship. I love board games and long walks (beach is optional).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love the sharing economy that Couchsurfing represents! People can travel in much more authentic ways and learn a lot more about their surrounding areas from the locals they're staying with. It's an exciting way to not only travel but meet people and it can create much more deep connections just from having a little gratitude and trust.
Interests
I come from a big gaming background. I am particularly partial to board games as I think they're a great way to be social and have fun with people. I love to hike (mostly day hikes, but only because I have never done anything longer) and just generally explore. I also played quidditch in college, which is a lot of fun and which I would be glad to talk about. Finally, I have had a life-long love of reading and a more recent love of writing, particularly letters (I'm always on the lookout for pen pals).
