Overview
About Me
Part-time daydreamer, full-time curious human. I collect odd facts, beautiful moments, and friends who laugh loudly. I'm more into campfires than spreadsheets, and "let's figure it out" than "here’s the plan."
I believe in naps, snacks, and not taking life too seriously — unless snacks are involved, then all bets are off. I’m not great at small talk, but I’ll happily get lost in big ideas, odd questions, or long list of my favourite conifers. Tall, tough, quietly magnificent — what’s not to love?
I’d rather be known for how I show up than what I do: a little scruffy, a little thoughtful, a little hard, but soft where it counts.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
So, first up — I’m a bit more laid-back these days than some of my old reviews or wild-eyed photos might suggest. Still very much into long chats over good food and a cold beer, just with less reckless abandon and a lot more appreciation for a full night’s sleep.
Back when I lived in Canada, I hosted often; in the U.S., I surfed as much as possible. Met some brilliant humans along the way. Thought I’d dip back into the Couchsurfing world and see what kind of stories are still floating around out there.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like music that moves — sometimes slow and smoky, sometimes wired and wild. A good track should either lift the room or break your heart a little. The best ones do both.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once sat at the top of Phnom Bakheng with a Buddhist monk and a French traveller, chatting and watching three storm cells roll in from different directions. I couldn’t tell you what we talked about — I just remember the silence before the lightning, the wind picking up, and the sky tearing open. It was one of the most incredible things I’ve ever seen.
