Born and raised just northwest of Chicago, the youngest of 9 children. Been traveling internationally since before I can remember, and always looking to have the most exciting or unusual experience. Spent a semester of university studying in Italy and traveling Europe, spent a year traveling Oceania and Southeast Asia, and have called Mexico home for the last 4 years. Currently trying to sort out the next adventure :)

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I joined Couchsurfing to get as much as I can out of my time abroad. I'd rather see a place through its locals and have an experience I'll never forget, than pay for an expensive generic tour I'll never remember. Likewise, I'd also like to be the local that can offer those experiences to fellow travelers.

Interessen

I'm a bit of an adrenaline junkie, I suppose. Anything that gets the heart pumping, and I love wandering around, making people laugh, a good night out, and a truly bizarre or surprisingly deep conversation.

Movies -- Again a little bit of everything, but my favorite genres are horror and animation. Opposite ends of the spectrum.

Books -- J.D. Salinger, David Foster Wallace, currently reading Vagabonding by Rolf Potts and 10% Happier by Dan Harris

Certainly as the youngest of 9, I've got a story or two up my sleeve. And I'll stay up for hours swapping all my life and travel stories for yours. I enjoy cooking, just as much as I enjoy sharing my favorite local food spots with new friends. I'm clean and respectful and I like to have a good time, whether it's a quiet casual day or a night out.
