Grew up in the Ozark Mts of S MO/N AR. It's a beautiful area, but the people are pretty backwards, so I left asap. Fine Arts degree from KCAI. Studied art history in Florence/Paris. Joined architecture firm designing and fabricating custom furniture/ arch details. Got a lot of attention in the form of publications and awards. Decided to do something that felt more meaningful, so went to Naropa for Contemplative Psych and now LPC working as a Crisis Therapist.

Music: love laid back funky groove music of the '70s: Little Feat, the Meters, Dr John, Sly, Rufus, Stevie, The Band, etc. Jazzy fusion stuff: Zappa, Scofield, Crimson, MMW. Also: Radiohead, Beck, Lyle Lovett, Lucinda Williams, Couch, Yo La Tengo, etc. I write, play several instruments, and have been in a number of bands over the years. My dad was a pro musician in the '60s - 80's playing drums with some famous people.
