About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Wake up on random people's couches after a ridiculous night of drinking and going out... all around the world.

ABOUT ME

I'm 23 years old and am living the dream out in sunny San Francisco, California. While I can't complain too much about my cushy job at Google, I can't wait until the time is right for me to go on an expansive tour of the world. I've done some short travels in the past to South Eats Asia and Europe, but am really hoping to do a big round-the-world trip someday.

I was born and raised in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. I've always been a bit of a geek, but am a jock by all outward appearances as well. I grew up playing soccer and tennis but have recently started play tennis and bouldering as well. I still love to channel the geeky, Star Wars-loving side of me - I get my fair share in at work - but I also like to party hard on the weekends.

PHILOSOPHY

Be happy! And always work on being the best self you can be.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

All my travels have consisted of hostels so far, but I'd like to couchsurf a little next time I go out on a trip. It seems like a great way to interact with some locals. I currently live in a big 5-bedroom apartment with plenty of couch space, but my roommates are not cool with hosting surfers, so I'll have to put off hosting until I have my own place.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Nothing through the website, but I've had my fair share of sleeping on couches and cold floors with no blankets on various trips to visit friends at other universities during my time in college.

Interests

Sports - Tennis, Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball, Bouldering
Watching tennis, playing fantasy football, catching big-time professional sports game with friends

Love relaxing at a nice bar for happy hour but also enjoy clubbing/high-energy bars on the weekend (sometimes weekday) nights.

Music, Movies, and Books

I used to consume Star Wars EU books like they were candy. I sometimes like to pretend I'm Ender from Ender's Game, and I have never experienced heart-break at finishing a book like I did when I finished 1984.

I mainly listen to hip-hop. I spend a ridiculous amount of time finding new, abstract, weird hip-hop but also love the big-name guys and am a huge stan for Eminem. I love being drunk and jamming out to Blink-182, Brand New, and other 90's pop-punk and indie rock bands.

As for movies, I'm mostly just working my way through the IMDb top 500.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been on an episode of Oprah before!
I've taken a helicopter down into the Grand Canyon.
I've stumbled back to my hotel room at 9 am after a night of gambling and debauchery in Vegas for my 21st birthday.
I've led a priviledged life and have been on many a cruises to all around the carribean, all of which I have good memories from.
I've also had some awesome internships and met some awesome people during my summers away from university.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to learn to cook delicious vegetarian meals in cuisines from around the world. I'd love to pick up some new instruments as well. I can teach you the basics of programming. In fact, I currently volunteer some of my time teaching highschoolers how to code at an after school program here in SF.
