About Me

Well. I'm 25 years old. I'm passionate about art, I'm a writer, & a singer, and an herbalism enthusiast. I'm learning to play guitar. Um. I'm clean, lol. I'm interested in the world around me- & that makes me pretty interesting. I've witnessed healing from herbal remedies & experienced it firsthand. I've taught and cared for children of all ages, and shared stages with several amazingly talented ensembles (touring China as a soloist with the Youth Ensemble of Atlanta is the farthest I've traveled so far). I've performed all over Atlanta, in theater, doing background vocals for several amazing artists, and more recently, as a solo artist.

I'm currently enjoying the life of a nomad, volunteering on farms throughout the country. I'm surviving on the golden rule, wit & resourcefulness, and the kindness of people I'm blessed to meet along the way. I find my way of life much more fulfilling than I did when I thought I'd find happiness in corporate America.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I discovered my love for herbs and plants while volunteering on a farm in Oregon. I've come back to Atlanta to visit family, but I'm heading back out west soon. I'm moving to a farm in Hawaii at the end of January. I want to hop about between couch surfing hosts and organic farms in California for a few weeks and leave for Kona,HI from there. I'm a happily roaming nomad right now, so I'm not accepting guests myself. But it's likely I will eventually take up more permanent residence in a beautiful lavish residence at some point, and I will definitely give back to this community as a host. (When I say lavish I mean like lush with gorgeous plant-life, and carefully crafted spaces for self-care/wellness). I'm totally down to provide references and/or meet on Skype.

Interests

Good books, plantlife, mastering the forms of self expression I'm gifted in, learning how to survive without the million and one things I've been taught to depend on for my entire life, like grocery stores, and electricity, your basic sustainable living type concerns. Concepts of quantum physics in laymen's terms, healing theories/philosophies of wellness, yoga, music music music, various cheesy television shows, various anime with cheesy theme songs, being present, learning more about myself.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've decided to forsake more socially-acceptable, financially profitable life paths in honor of more honest paths, to self-discovery and personal fulfillment. Volunteering on farms really showed me how little I need materially, and how much I need in other areas of my being. I am really proud of myself for being brave enough to be honest about my priorities, and seeking to live a successful life by my own definition.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've got a lot of growing knowledge of about music, theater, herbalism, yoga, & childcare. I'm a guru, in the way that everyone who is serious about doing any kind of personal work is a guru. I'm also a good cook.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd love to share any art of mine that a host would be interested in reading/hearing. I love chances to collaborate with other artists.

I have a lot of experience teaching music and theater skills & editing writing

I have a lot of experience caring for children, and tutoring students in reading/writing, comprehension/English.

I love cooking, and would be happy to.

I'm smart, and this makes for great conversation potential!
