About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I can't get enough of this awesome blessing we call life!
ABOUT ME
I absolutely love to do new and exciting things. At Auburn University, I served as our mascot Aubie for two years. In the summer of 2009, I went to Europe for two study abroad programs, and in the middle, I toured numerous nations (thanks Eurail Global!) with my sister for three weeks. Wow...that really sparked my urge to be spontaneous!
In January 2010, I moved to Canada with a suitcase and a six month work visa. For the months of January and February, I worked for Coca-Cola at their Pavilion in David Lam Park. In the month of March, I volunteered at the Whistler athlete village as an entertainment coordinator for the Vancouver 2010 Paralympic Games. Since then, I have enjoyed time in Atlanta working for a marketing agency and taking classes in Mobile, AL with plans to start medical school in August. It has been quite a ride, and I am thankful for every moment thus far!
PHILOSOPHY
Through my life, I hope to bring glory to the Lord. "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as if working for the Lord, not for men." (Colossians 3:23)
During this short time that I am on this earth, I want to live life to the fullest. God has given mankind an amazing playground of sorts, and it'd be a shame not to enjoy it in every way possible.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I live in Mobile, Alabama right now - it's not the most traversed city in the world, but if you're driving through, I'd love to meet up for coffee or something.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
While in Vancouver in 2010, I was able to meet friends at a couch surfing party and one of my colleagues and good friends was a couch surfer herself.
Interests
I love people...hanging out, trying new experiences, having a great time!
I love music...I play guitar, piano, and LOVE to sing in the shower (don't worry, I wouldn't do that as a guest...just in my OWN shower).
I love food...especially desserts. Anything with chocolate is fine by me.
I am also in the process of learning French. Though I have taken it on-and-off as a class for years, this past July in Paris was the first time that I became conversational with it.

Music, Movies, and Books
The Bible's pretty rock solid...also the Chronicles of Narnia series. I'm not the biggest reader, but I'm always open to suggestions.
I love any comedies, especially children's movies with subtle adult references (eg. - Every Pixar flick ever). Also, I enjoy inspiring movies like Miracle and Cool Runnings.
Music wise, I listen to just about anything but country and rap. I love acoustic driven music, where you can hear the piano, guitars, and what not. Example - the Fray and Jon McLaughlin.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
On December 9th, 2001, I was blessed with the amazing oppportunity of serving as a torchbearer for the Salt Lake 2002 Winter Olympic Torch Relay. It was one of the coolest things I have ever done, and I made sure my fifth of a mile took as long as possible!
Teach, Learn, Share
I don't understand hatred. Really, what's enticing about it? I would imagine that hatred towards others just leads to sulking and a less fulfilling life for yourself. As for me, I shall not take part.
