Hey!
My name is Brandon. I was born and spent most of my childhood in Canada. I have traveled through some or the U.S and Canada for ice hockey; a sport I played at a semi-professional level for many years. I am a university student in Canada but am currently abroad in Germany where I am studying. While residing in Germany I have taken every opportunity possible to travel to new destinations. Explore the world and learn new cultures from the wonderful people I have met along the way. When travelling I try to do some good along the way and give back. Some of my fondest memories are from Thailand where I spent some time teaching English. I am new to couch surfing. I had only stayed in hostels or with friends. However, throughout my travels I have met a countless number of people who have had amazing experiences.

I'm on Couchsurfing for the obvious. I want to see new places. Meet new like minded people, share stories and hopefully become friend. I am not a
rich man and this accommodation avenue is very fitting for my minimalist life style.

Uma Coisa Incrível que Eu Fiz

My first time traveling to Thailand, myself and my long time best friend decided to sign up for a guided 3 day jungle trek. Little did I know, the term "trek" really did entail the whole trekking part and not just an easy stroll. I arrived at the departing point with only a pair of sandals, a swim suit, a couple t-shits and a bottle of water stuffed into my undersized jansport deep blue backpack. The rest of our group had full hiking gear. None the less, I hiked through the jungle and up mountains for 3 days in nothing but my thong sandals that had been taped to my feet. I felt very accomplished after completion and awarded myself with a Thai famous foot massage..... I don't know if this story could really embody the "amazing" type. It's more of a classic example of miscommunication and cultural differences mixed with some under evaluation of the term "trek".
