My name is Brandon, but I go by Jack. I love to practice flow arts, yoga, and herbal medicine. I am looking for a new home where I feel that I fit into the rhythm and culture of my surroundings.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This is my second backpacking journey. The first time around I used mainly hostels, but this time I am looking to do longer term stays in the places I visit. I want to be able to settle in a bit and consider whether the lifestyle of a place suits me for living. I don’t want to pack and unpack right away.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite musical artists at the moment are Khraungbin, Hermanos Gutierrez, Faye Webster, and Mt. Joy. I love sci-fi and romance movies. I’ve tried to get myself to enjoy non fiction reading so many times, but I really just need a good story to attach to. I learn so much from sci-fi novels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I worked on a community farm where we gave away all of our produce to the underprivileged community.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn good routine and stability. I would love to stay with someone who has a good routine that I can work myself around and build my own from. I also really want to learn more knowledge of herbal medicine. We can hopefully teach each other farming or gardening skills, cooking techniques, and share wonderful stories.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a pair of helping hands, and a positive attitude to bring along with me. I love to feel useful so I will be of as much help as possible around the house. I have some farming and gardening knowledge. I’m pretty knowledgeable on nutrition and know a few things about herbal medicine. I know a good bit about yoga and movement arts. I can teach you to juggle and slack line. I have equipment for both with me.
