About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To master the art of time travel & perfect my hoverboard skills...cosmic psychology and frenetic animalmathmatology are also on the list

ABOUT ME

HAILING FROM NEW ZEALAND. I have a passion for law, travel, photography, business, design and languages...oh and surfing, music, partying, exploring.

I have been living and working in Sydney Australia at a law firm. Prior to that I was working with the United Nations in Jakarta, Indonesia. Although the UN sounds like I might be "Mr Serious." I'm not, I'm young and enjoy partying, exploring and socializing. I'm looking to meet some great people through CS.

My house mate, Stephan, speaks fluent Bahasa Indonesia and is a local celebrity on Indonesian TV (off sorts).

I have hosted several people, and really enjoy being a polite, fun and responsible host.

My travels so far have including: the South Pacific - fiji, vanuatu, New Zealand & Australia. Africa (parts of). Europe - Italy, France, Germany, Netherlands, Denmark, Austria. The US - New York, Florida, LA, Hawaii & Asia - China, Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, Indonesia and India.

Drop me a line

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that life is about making connections with people, keeping in touch with people that you make those connections with and sharing!!! That is, when people give - it is important to pay the favour back in some way...this may only be showing enormous gratitude...I have many thoughts on life - ethical and otherwise - I think it is important to leave some of these thoughts to yourself for other people to discover gradually in person : D

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have just joined up to couch surfer and hope to have some amazing experiences through the network. Although I have just joined up, I have been an independent couch surfer for a number of years...with surf experience in Hawaii for three months and backpacking through Australia and New Zealand! Me and my flat are avid hosts of couch surfers from around the world (although not through the couch surfer project yet)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Although I have just joined up, I have been an independent couch surfer for a number of years...with surf experience in Hawaii for three months and backpacking through Australia and New Zealand! Me and my flat are avid hosts of couch surfers from around the world...although not through couch surfer...YET!

The best kind of host is one that really gets you involved in the culture and isn´t afraid to take you to parties etc...

I think the best kind of guest (how I like to be) is one that asks from the beginning whether there are any rules/things that should be known. It is also nice to offer your help on a regular basis - this may include cleaning without being prompted!!! In addition it is important to show your gratitude either by cooking a meal or writing a letter.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach; basic and intermediate guitar..perhaps a bit of harmonica, Indonesian language, English, info about kiwiana/ cool beaches and surf spots in NZ..

Learn; I'm particulary interested in learning languages and basic techniques on musical instruments for around the globe. But am quite thirsty for knowledge of all kinds so I'm open to learning anything that can be offered (within reason : D ) I would love to learn some photography...because I love taking photos, but am not particularly knowledgable on the subject : D

Share: I´ll share anything (except my body...unless I get a good fee) but seriously I love to share food, knowledge & hospitatlity. Nothing as good as an engaging conversation!
