ABOUT ME

Hmm, how does one answer this?

All my statistics? In my 40s, mid-career, empty nester,never married.

My history? I've never done much of anything interesting. I believe in my work and work hard.

My hobbies? Don't really have any. I read, a lot. I'm interested in fostering shelter pets. Puzzle obsessively, on osscasion. Same for solitaire. And TV, netflix, movies.

My faults? See obsessive behavior above (I'm sarcastic too). I enjoy living alone and I'm not particularly social. I won't be a great host but I will make you feel welcome!

PHILOSOPHY

Do something that makes a difference in the world, hope you like it and tried to get a paycheck from it. Therefor grant work, foster dogs and, maybe, now you.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'll be a bad host. I'm very busy and reclusive so you can't count on me to show you around or entertain you. But I do live in a wonderful destination town and I have the perfect home to take on guests. If you can handle free range of a nice home, your own room (or two) and a host treating you with benign neglect we'll get along famously!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My own coach surfing experiences are the typical with my own friends in 80s and 90s. It was a great way to travel! I applaud you for your bravery in doing this with strangers. I wish I had had the option when I was younger. Yeah internet!

Currently, I have an adult son in college who drops in periodically with groups of friends. I like these visits and find my very quiet home could use a few more of them. And, I hope someone safe and kind would do the same for him on accocasion.

Interests

All I really do is work and then solitary escapist entertainment: Reading, movies, TV and the like. Also occasional hobbies like puzzling. I say obsessive becuase I can get so into it that I stay up too late or spend too much of my time and have to put it away for a while so I can get back to my real life!!

We Are Water, The Tale of Edger Sawtell, The Walking Dead, Downton Abbey and, unfortuantely, lately alternative pop that reminds me of having a teen at home (Pink, lumineers, ed sheeran)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As I've said, I haven't done much with my life that wasn't in service to my work. But, I did raise a wonderful kid. Mostly just becuase he is a wonderful kid and I didn't manage to damage him too much! I also live across the street from my parents. I ask you, what can be more amazing than that??!!

Once upon a time, I lived in California (doesn't every young adult?)and visited Honduras for a month. Spent a few holidays in Mexico. Would like to have been a real traveler but never had the time or the money.

Maybe you are from someplace exotic and you will bring the world to me?
