Overview
About Me
I live in the small city of Cape Girardeau, Missouri near the Mississippi River, but travel quite a bit around the region doing ecological research and management for work, as well as for fun. I'm lucky to have a job I like.
I'm fairly introverted and prefer small groups, but find forcing myself out of my comfort zone to be rewarding. Couchsurfing is a great tool for such things!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've hosted a few times and been hosted a few times, and each experience was great. Getting the local scoop is invaluable when visiting a new place! What use is travel if you don't get to know how people there actually live?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spent the past few summers collecting botanical data in the field for various ecological research and monitoring projects.
Was an extra and searched for snakes on outdoor sets for the David Fincher movie "Gone Girl", which was shot in my town.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can tell you all about the local plants and animals! If you speak something besides English, I'd love to learn a little bit of your language.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can be pretty flexible with hosting situations, and don't require too much.
