ABOUT ME

I've been fascinated with foreign languages, different cultures and far away places since before I could remember. As a small child, I used to love hanging out in airports, waiting for relatives to arrive and fantasizing about where people were coming from or going to. I studied Linguistics in college so I could learn the universal underpinnings of language, enabling me to acquire more languages and converse with people of different cultural backgrounds.

I'm participating in the CS project with the goal of meeting new people all over the world and learning about local culture wherever I travel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm new to couchsurfing, but I love the community and I'm eager to give it a try on my next trip. I've met couch surfers, participated in a few local gatherings, and even met some of the people who run the website - everyone I've met has been very warm and eager to meet new people. Exactly what I'm looking for.

Interesses

Traveling, dancing, cooking, learning/teaching foreign languages and linguistics, anthropology, art (drawing, painting, sculpting, crafts), live theatre, vegetarianism, nutrition, yoga, jazz & swing & soul music, urban hiking, nature hiking, synchronized swimming, science fiction and fantasy novels (yep, a self-proclaimed nerd).

Uma Coisa Incrível que Eu Fiz

The Hërrang dance camp in Sweden was probably my favorite trip - dancing 24/7 for four weeks with Lindy Hoppers from all over the world in the middle of a forest . . . unforgettable.
