Hi! I'm 23. I love cooking, craft beer, learning how to make new things, sketching, and dancing (insert dancer emoji here). I live with my boyfriend who is a full time Law Student. I graduated with my BA in English from the University of South Florida in Tampa, and moved to Charlotte soon after. I'll be moving to the Washington, DC area shortly to teach English for the DC public school system.

I try my best to be a positive person, and I enjoy other people who share a dry sense of humor. Depending on the atmosphere I can be extroverted, or I can keep to myself. It all depends on my company prefers. I definitely enjoy having a good time with a welcoming crowd.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I've moved about three times in the past two months. I'm on couch-surfing to find cool people in the area who know about traveling so often. Hopefully, you guys can give me some tips! Meeting new people with different experiences is always fun.

兴趣

My favorite things to do when I meet new people are have a drink with them, or cook with them. I love trying new types of beer, or learning how to make new types of food. I used to love going to the beach as well (Yes, I do realize that will be a bit difficult where I live)...Buuuuuuut new places and new experiences are always a GOOD thing.

Music: I grew up in the Caribbean so I do listen to dancehall, soca, chutney, and calypso. However, my favorite band is Panic! at the Disco. I listen to popular music as well. The TGIF playlist on Spotify usually does the trick!

Books: Harry Potter...Of course. My favorite book right now is Shelley's "Frankenstein." It's a work of art. Franz Kafka's "The Trial" is mind blowing as well. I've read quite a few books that some would consider "out there" (because of my major), but I tend to stick with lighter works for fun reading.

Movies:...I like cheesy movies...It's pretty bad. I know that my taste in movies is horrible. I've come to accept it, and so have my loved ones! My favorites have been The Little Mermaid, Two Night Stand, Anything with Anna Hathaway, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, and the Harry Potter movies as well. Those last three aren't so bad, but compare that to my love of the Twilight movies and you can see why I say my taste in movies is questionable.

I went skydiving. Considering that I don't even care for roller coasters, I'm pretty proud that I had the balls to jump out of a plane. It was exhilarating, freeing, and worth every worry.

I can probably teach you a few Caribbean dance moves, or how to make egg rolls. My mom's Thai and has a pretty easy recipe.
