I was born in New Zealand, and 6 years old when we moved to the Netherlands. Almost 30 years ago I moved to Michigan and am now located an hour north of the metro Detroit area, in a small, rural village called Ortonville.

I enjoy music, yoga, line dancing, cardio drumming, Zumba, photography, (graphic) art, gardening, walking nature trails, rock hunting, and visiting cities.

I have a dog (beagle mix) and 7 chickens.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I am curious about people, their cultures and different lifestyles.
In the past I have hosted a total of 9 exchange students from Asia and Europe. I have also hosted a handful of WarmShower members.

On my previous travels I have stayed in Airbnb’s. A good friend of mine went couchsurfing through Europe and India. She suggested I give it a try. This year I am going to explore Michigan and hope to find some hosts there. After I get some experience in couchsurfing myself, I am planning on opening up my house to other couchsurfers.
