About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Carrying on my mom's tradition of meeting people from around the world!
ABOUT ME
My mother was Mexican and my father was from West Virginia. Born and raised in Columbus Ohio but I knew I was destined for more than my little cow town could offer. I don't have a tremendous residence but my little happy home offers a room of your own (also my office though) and 5 minutes drive (20 minute bike ride) to a beautiful beach. I love meeting new people and learning about the world. My first husband was from the United Arab Emirates and my second husband from Austria. Right now I am content to just be on my own. My kids are all grown--oldest son lives in Thailand, Daughter lives in Orlando and my baby boy lives in South Florida. I love love love to cook but mostly on weekends because my work takes a lot out of me during the week. I have been known to imbibe some awesome wine and love to hear and talk about life's adventures. Looking forward to whatever interesting adventurer shows up on my doorstep.
PHILOSOPHY
I love people and embrace all cultures. I love the uniqueness of people and yet we are all really the same.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I may try to couch surf myself but mostly I am interested in housing someone in my home and learning about them and their culture. I work out of my house and the single bed I have available is in that room. Only one bathroom to share.

Music, Movies, and Books
All! I love foreign movies, the latest I watched was a Mexican movie called Sin Nombre, very bittwersweet. Books: a fan of self help--Dale Carnegie: How to Win Friends and Influence People, Think and Grow Rich by Napolean Hill, etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have a slight fear of the water so this awesome tour guide in Mexico was so gentle with me and helped me to snorkel and see some amazing things in the ocean.
Castles in Germany and all the history was awesome. Visiting London was amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love people who want to take charge of their life, experience the world and help others.
