I am an artist and designer who loves to travel. I am originally from New York City but lived in England for three years and then spent most of my developing years in New Jersey. Living abroad gave me an appreciation for different cultures and I really enjoy meeting people from all over the world. I went to university in Los Angeles, California and will be moving back there in September after my travels! I am traveling with my girlfriend Kiersten who is an incredible person studying to become a teacher. She is a lot of fun and together we will be traveling around Europe until the end of September and would love to meet new, fun people!

To meet new people! Because the best way to be creative is to experience new things and see the way people different from yourself see the world.

Interests

I enjoy making things that make people's lives a little bit better. I work mostly in ceramics and wood, but also love to sketch out my ideas. I also play the banjo. I love going to concerts and have been to a few music festivals including Bonnaroo in Tennessee and OutsideLands in San Fransisco. To me, music is meant to be experienced live where you can groove with everyone around you to the music being played. I hope to see much live music performances in my travels!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love most types of music especially indie rock, folk, and jazz. My favorite bands are Béla Fleck and the Flecktones, The Shins, and Alabama Shakes. I love movies. I can talk about them for hours. I enjoy movies by the Coen Brothers such as The Big Lebowski and O Brother Where Art Thou as well as movies by Tim Burton and Christopher Nolan. I love movies that make you think and make you feel something that you never would have felt otherwise. I am also a fan of Kurt Vonnegut's novels as well as the work of Tom Wolfe and Jack Keroac.

I have driven across the continental US from New York to Los Angeles and I plan on doing it again!
