ABOUT ME

My best friends would say I'm "a good guy." But that's because they're not that good with words or feelings. But I'm not either, so I don't know much else to say about me. I also think I'm funnier than I really am.
I'll watch just about anything on tv, from bad MTV reality shows to great movies on AMC to sports to CNN. Those are also my biggest hobbies and interests; sports, movies and news. I also love going to bar during the day, and quickly having that turn into happy hour and then midnight. Not just for the drinking, but for the socializing, meeting new people and whatever other shananigans happen (though nothing good happens after 2am!)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

No professional experience, though I've certainly enjoyed sleeping on the couches of friends, or of friends of friends.

Interests

I watch a lot of sports and bad television...I read a lot of news. I sometimes play sports-mostly golf, and basketball. I also like to go to bars to drink and eat bad food.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'll watch just about anything, from the latest Bond to the latest romcom the girlfriend drags me to. Not much of a book reader, though I read most of the New York Times every day.
Love almost all rock from the 60s through the 90s (from Dylan to Zeppelin to Springsteen to Oasis), and then just Foo Fighters and Dave Matthews Band since then.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Cliffs of Mohr in western Ireland (also, go about a mile south (or north? Can't remember) of them and you'll see an endless desert of rock. Very cool.
Flying from Dublin to Italy, you go over the Alps. Mesmerizing.
Every time I walk through Central Park is amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can talk about sports and news all day. I've worked for the localist of local newspapers, and now am at CBS News helping cover the biggest stories of the day. I've played golf since I was 3 years old and lacrosse since I was 12.
Would love to go rockclimbing, bungee jumping and skydiving, and would like to learn tennis, to ride a horse and to drive a racecar. Among anything else that piques my interest, which is a lot.
