ABOUT ME

I moved to Hanawa, Fukushima, in August 2011. Coming to Japan has always been my dream ever since I've been 8 years old but I don't exactly know why. I've always just had a strange feeling that there's something deep here so I decided to come check it out.

After living in the bowels of the Inaka for just over a year, I've decided to live in Tokyo. Right now I'm teaching at an Eikaiwa, and enjoy it, but one day I'd really like to be an editor, translator, or an interpreter. I'm working on my Japanese skills, but they're nowhere they need to be.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Unfortunately, due to my living arrangements I might not be able to put you up. I live in a shared apartment complex, so if you're willing to sleep on a couch it might work out, but it can be pretty noisy.

I'm on couchsurfing to meet new people, and share experiences. If someone knows anything about getting into translation, especially literature, I'd be really interested in meeting you. I also love sharing my knowledge of Japan and Japanese with people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been to both Niigata City and Koriyama city via couchsurfing. Both are great memories and I me fantastic people. I'd like to meet more people in and around Tokyo now.

兴趣

Reading novels, lately I'm on Haruki Murakami short stories, studying Japanese, hanging out with friends. Drinking, karaoking, new things. I also enjoy exercising and the occasional bouldering. I enjoy traveling and all the experiences that come with it. New people, places, sights, smells, sounds, the situations you get put in.

Anyone who can help me look at any one thing a different way, but very intensely. I won't know what I learned right away, but someone who can make me walk away scratching my chin and mumbling "なるほど..." I only hope to have the same influence on people I meet. I want to build long-lasting ties with great people.
