Currently I am riding a motorcycle to the southernmost part of South America, along the way I am going to try my hand at learning spanish and see what's what.

Trekking and summiting some mountains is a big part of my plans as well. I'm planning being on the road +/- a year, traveling slow and experiencing places rather than "doing" them.

This is my second time taking a year off and traveling. Last time highlights included: riding a scooter through Vietnam, sailing the Thai islands with me and a buddy (we actually did the sailing), riding a bicycle from Berlin to Istanbul, and trekking in Nepal for a month straight.

When I am not traveling you can find me hiking, cycling, moto'ing, all of the generic outdoor stuff. I also read tho, srsly.

Professionally I have worked in IT for wayyyyy toooooo llllooooonnnngggggggggggggggg.

I'm on Couchsurfing to meet people that live in the places I am traveling to, hopefully to get to know them and the places they call home.

I may need a place to stay once in a while, but it's mostly to meet locals and other travelers to hang out with and maybe share a van ride to a trailhead.

I'm also trying to improve my portrait photography and I welcome any subjects, you'll obviously get a copy of the photo.
