About Me

Student currently studying Film and Entrepreneurship at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, USA. A former soccer player, and die-hard fan of Real Madrid, Arsenal, and Borussia Dortmund. Actor, too. At the end of it all, though, I am attempting to be an explorer, an adventurer, and want to dive deeply into discovering this world. Also, I am incredibly thankful for the generosity shown on this site by so many people. I will probably be overly-respectful, polite, and thankful for having someone let me enter into their home.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm a college student, like I said. More specifically, I'm an American university student - that stuff ain't cheap. Outside of the money, though, I want immersion and to meet all the incredible and diverse people that live throughout the places I am traveling. I'm hoping to be more than a tourist.

Interests

Simply stated: Film, photography, soccer (playing, watching, all of it), nature, meeting new people, poetry, Carpe Diem, philosophy and politics, art (of all kinds), music (of all kinds), theatre and acting, stories/story telling, staying active, food, and much more. Oh shit, I forgot comedy. I love humor, and its different types.

Music, Movies, and Books

Well, as a film student, listing my favorite movies isn't exactly easy. If you ask about movies, though, the conversation could be endless. Genres don't mean much to me. Also, a big fan of escapism movies.

Musical interests would be mainly alternative, but, really, I love nearly everything. Anything you like, I probably like. There's beauty in it all. Good is good, beautiful is beautiful.

I don't have time for much reading, but I like anything with a large mythos and world to it. Or poetry - I love it. Same as movies, basically. I also love studying about philosophy, politics, psychology, the sciences, etc. through books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My first trek out out of my country was to Xela, Guatemala, March 2016. I participated in a medical brigade, accompanying doctors, nurses, professionals, and students to provide medical relief through Guatemala. I may not be studying medicine directly, but the field of public/global health is incredibly important to me. Participating on this brigade may have been the greatest thing I've done, thus far.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am sure that our interactions will be the greatest learning experience. This may be the romantic in me coming through, but I am always excited by the collision of two people lifes and the stories they can share. Truly, the opportunities are endless. Outside of this, I can teach about photography, film, and a few other arts/subjects.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My interests, knowledge, passions - basically myself. Broke college student, so I don't have much else.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Guatemala, Italy, Norway, United States
