About Me
I love to travel and I've used this site in the past many times but it was long ago and I've forgotten my log on information for my old account. I served as a sergeant in he Army for 12 years and retired early and then completed my education. I am very laid back, respectful and tidy. I love music and getting to know people and seeing all different areas of the world. Couchsurfing has been a great experience for me, both having guests in the past and being a guest. I have two children, one of whom is a 4 month old boy that I am currently travelling to visit and hopefully stay in the Sarasota county area for a long period of time. I plan to find work and make a life for my family in Florida although I am from Mississippi.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Currently I am looking for a safe, quiet and convenient place to stay while I visit my 4 month old son and fiancee who live I in Venice. My fiancee family has lived in venice, Florida for 11 years and I want to be with them long term so I am also seeking employment here. I love the beach here it is absolute paradise and will respect any house rules. I just want to spend time with my son and his mother and build a life slowly here and I know couchsurfing will assist me in starting a life here.

Music, Movies, and Books
Red hot chili peppers, nirvana, Dave Matthews band, all good rock and roll and country. I don't watch a lot of television or movies but I do like science fiction movies, comedies and documentaries about the environment and world issues. I read a lot of non fiction about history and basically read to learn more about the world.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Served and protected this country for 12 years in Iraq, South Korea and Haiti.
Teach, Learn, Share
I built my house in Mississippi to be eco sustainable, I work with wood and maintain my own home and restored another peice of property to rent out so I can do maintenance on most parts of any home. I was a sergeant in the army during which I trained the ranger units in georgia. I was also a Ford fellow student and worked with DNA samples using biotechnology.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can of course assist with home repairs if needed and am always willing to teach anyone what I know. I also can share my own past experiences with couch surfing all of which have been positive.
Countries I’ve Lived In
Haiti, Iraq, South Korea, United States
