Chi sono

CURRENT MISSION

To be happy and make other people happy

ABOUT ME

I have a hard time describing myself within these little text boxes. I'll do my best.

I'm a 26 year old guy from Southern Ontario. I am currently working for the Canadian government (department of Candian hertiage and offical languages) on a contract and have been working various governmental contracts since I graduated from university. For my current job I am a project leader for a youth volunteer program. It's a pretty rad job and one I have developed the bad habit of talking about ad nauseum. I'll spare you the details but if you ever meet me in person be prepared.

Moving away from my natural tendency to be modest (something which is necessary to do for these text boxes and the reason I am less than comfortable with them), I can honestly say that I'm a pretty awesome guy. If I weren't me, I'd be my friend. I have a pretty quiet demeanor but I'm a good conversationalist and have no problem meeting new friends. I think my personality would be best described as subtle.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had a few germans stay on my couch last summer which was pretty cool.
I've also hung out with some other people who passed through my hometown as well as meet up with some people while travelling.

Interessi

I'd love to put some sort of extreme or obscure hobby here like base jumping but I can't honestly do so. I'm really rather dull. Here's a list of stuff I like doing when I'm not sleeping or working:

Perfecting French Grammar
Cooking (almost 14 years of cooking experience)
Listening to rock and roll music
being a troubadour
reading
travelling
sitting on my front steps and watch the world go by
get messed up on coffee
playing settlers of catan
ping pong
play beach volleyball in the park down the street
jumping into water from high places
talking and sharing with other people

Musica, film e libri

I could put together an exhaustive list here.... there are just too many good bands, books and movies out there. Instead I will do it like this:

The best movie I've seen so far this year was: The Fantastic Mr. Fox or Un crabe sur la tête

The best concert I've seen so far this year was either Elliot Brood or the Flaming Lips

The best book I read this year was East of Eden by John Steinbeck

Insegna, impara, condividi

The more you give the more you recieve. This is the most imortant thing I've learned thus far.
