I am a young filmmaker in Chicago who is active in student organizing and activism.

I'm interested in class politics, filmmaking, music, culture and art and how this all actually effects the lives of working people. I'm a student of film history, and would love to talk for hours about all kinds of movies from old to new.

I love hip hop. Especially Kanye West, J Dilla, The Fugees, Joey Bada$$, OFWGKTA, etc...

I try to see everything movie-wise. I especially love French New Wave, and anything that's political. Documentaries are a favorite of mine, films like 5 Broken Cameras and The Act of Killing are very near to my heart and have made me who I am.

Reading is a very personal and important hobby for me. Last year I read Infinite Jest, which has become a favorite, but I also love Murakami, Steinbeck and Pynchon. I have a tattoo from East of Eden, and if this book is dear to you I'd love to host you and discuss this masterpiece.

I'm open to teach everything that I know, including English, film theory and my tastes in music.

I have a large living room with 2 comfortable couches and a friendly, cuddly kitty. My roommates and I are also very involved in Chicago's art scene, and would love to discover knew galleries. We are always open to take you on a tour of Chicago's beautiful film theaters, The Music Box and The Gene Siskel center are favorites of ours. We also love to dance! Come on a Thursday night and we may take you out to our favorite 80's New Wave dance club, NEO.
