Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I heard about couchsurfing recently from a friend who met a guy who was traveling across the country on a bike. He told me this guy was taking 6 months to ride and camp and see as much cool stuff as he could. My friend told me this guys was using couchsurfing to get around and have a place to stay. This guy is my hero. While i don't know if I'll be riding a bicycle across the country any time soon, couchsurfing seems like a cool way to meet people and have a unique traveling experience.
