Présentation
À propos de moi
I've been in Colorado for ten years now and I can't seem to get enough. The hikes and wide open wilderness of the mountains keep me and my dogs happy and refreshed. There are a surprising multitude of cultural offerings in Denver, and the live music opportunities are endless and eclectic.
Mainly I came for the mountains as I lived in "South Park" at 10,000 ft when I first emigrated. City living has been pretty sweet too. I can get most places in town on my bike. I live next to City Park (golf course, zoo, Nature & History Museum). I'm also surrounded by some pretty cool legendary music venues.
I work at home in the flame-working shop I built. Mostly making pipes now, but also marbles, paperweights, glasses, bowls, and some fine art. It's pretty sweet to be able to set my own hours, but I find myself working constantly, eschewing most distractions. When I do get out its for a bike ride, mountain hike, or some music. I'm up for adventure and new experiences. Inspiration comes from interaction.
I have two amazing children that live 2000 miles away in Boston. My ex has huge extended family so they are well supported which is why I let them go. I visit them for two weeks every two months. Bern working too much in between visits and looking for new people to stretch me in new directions .
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
I'm here to meet like minded people and have a real sense of community. Lost most of my "friends" and support network in the confusion of divorce. Now I'm trying to stay in my kids life by traveling to see them often and seeking out a community of open minded (non judgmental) humans who have values I can identify with. Turns out Couchsurfing is the prefect place to facilitate both.
Centres d'intérêt
Art and music take the cake. I love to dance, ski, hike, and play. I use the term "art" broadly. Theater, comedy, and puppet shows are part of its all-inclusiveness. Stoke the creative fires, create, repeat.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
Paul Simon is the greatest musician of our time, and "One Trick Pony," one of the best films.
Jazz, blues, reggae, anything with a beat. I go in for anything creative and well done. Grateful Dead, Phish, Ozric Tentacles, David Byrne, Buddy Guy, Henry Butler, to name a few.
My favorite movies are "This is Spinal Tap," "Countryman," "American Beauty," "The Last Dragon," "The Yes Men," and "Home."
I'll read whatever is around.
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
Spent two weeks in Amsterdam at a glass conference with 3000 other pyrophiliacs.
Went to one Oriole's game at Camden Yards in my life, Cal Ripken Jr. broke his consecutive game streak.
Saw Jay Z and Phish play "99 Problems," and "Big Pimpin'," in Brooklyn.
I walked next to an 800 lb. bear in Aspen just before dawn for 20 paces before I realized it wasn't a big dog. It was a radio collar.
Enseignez, apprenez, partagez
Travel and time spent with travelers had been my best education. . . And the most fun way to take it all in.
Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes
I'm a conscientious guest. I'll respect your space and your place. I'll pitch in where I can. For now I'll be occupied with my kids at playgrounds, zoos, etc. during days so I'll be around evenings. Also going to take kids on weekend excursions so I won't be around then
