I am originally from Michigan but live in San Francisco, now. I quit my job as a software engineer a while ago and have been doing a bunch of traveling. I have been playing drums/percussion since I was 10, although not as much now as I used to. I love photography and you'll often find me looking through a lens. Last summer I learned to scuba dive and now I'm hooked! I just took a trip to Australia to see the Great Barrier Reef and I will be going to Hawaii this summer and the Cayman Islands this fall and expect to do more diving!

Music, Movies, and Books

I typically go in for comedies or action movies. I don't usually like dramas that are dark and/or heavy. I've just finished reading through Ian Fleming's James Bond series of novels. I've read some nonfiction recently, too. I've got a stack of classic novels that I want to make myself read. My music taste is kind of eclectic. I'll listen to pop music. I like some older artists like Paul Simon or Fleetwood Mac. I always appreciate old jazz and classic music. I never got over my high school appreciation of crappy pop-punk music. I'll even enjoy theater/broadway music. Really, since I like to dance, anything that I can move my feet to I'll listen to.

Probably some bad puns or dad jokes. I am usually good at making fun of myself, so, hopefully, laughter will be shared! Probably my technology skills, too. I am typically the family IT guy.
