About Me

Actor in LA with an IT day job. Doing my first REAL traveling in 2025. Planning to see how the digital nomad life suits me. I love LA and will be back here often as it’s where my adult kids and grandkids live. But I need to see the world! I’ve barely been outside the US!

I haven't traveled as much as I'd like, but have lived in a lot of places in the US. I moved about 20 times before high school. Wut? A family vacation to New Orleans was probably the travel highlight of my life. I wrote a bunch of travel blogs for neworleans.com after they saw a quirky humor piece I wrote about NOLA, and they ended up blessing us with tons of free food and entertainment while we were there. Such amazing people! Also visited Chile and Mexico way back in high school, and the friends I made there hold a special place in my heart.

I enjoy live comedy, roller skating, dancing, festivals, poetry, cooking, my cat, movies, television, hiking, and meditation. Love hanging out at the beach and I roller skate the Santa Monica bike path regularly.

My first couchsurfing experience in Hawaii in 2019 was amazing! Can't wait to go back. My host was the best and we're still friends today.

I'm a pretty committed vegan, but I'm not judgmental about it, and won't try to convince you to join me. I will make occasional exceptions, especially to try new things and local cuisines.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Will travel occasionally and would like to meet new people in the LA area for fun adventures. A friend from acting class told me about her good experience with the app and I thought I'd give it a shot. I'm looking for new friends and adventures. I don't just want a place to crash or vice versa. Human connection is a powerful motivator for me, and I look forward to developing long-lasting friendships with any who are willing.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: currently discovering which genres of EDM I enjoy (various versions of House are currently in the lead). It’s new territory for me and I’m enjoying late night live DJ sets. Made it to my first EDM festival in 2024 and can’t wait for more! Also on rotation: old and new school funk, early 2000's indie, 80's new wave, etc.

Movies: I love good stories, no matter the genre. Recent favorites include JoJo Rabbit, Get Out, A Quiet Place, Always Be My Maybe, Long Shot, Detective Pikachu, Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse, Shazam, Thoroughbreds, A Monster Calls, The Florida Project, Won't You Be My Neighbor, Sorry To Bother You, Eighth Grade, Deadpool 2. Man, I sure miss the glory days of Movie Pass!

Also some TV stuff I love: Baskets, Better Things, Legion, The Good Place, Community, Russian Doll, Fleabag, Good Omens, Adventure Time, Steven Universe, Over The Garden Wall.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've acted in a few TV shows and commercials. Not enough to call it "making it" in Hollywood yet, but I'm excited to see where this path leads. I recently became SAG eligible from a commercial gig.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you're having trouble loving yourself or giving yourself compassion, I highly recommend the book "Self Compassion" by Kristin Neff. It's the catalyst for a lot of recent change in my life.

Mindfulness is helping rewire my brain. Using the following apps has improved my life exponentially: Headspace, Meditation Studio, Insight Timer. Also Tara Brach's free podcasts.

The Emerald is my favorite podcast. It’s opening up a new lens into animism and other perspectives that are stretching me and helping me become a better world citizen.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good conversation, space-holding, cooking tasty vegan recipes, my experiences trying to break into the entertainment industry, possible accommodations if you ever come to LA. Can help with chores around house. I’d also be happy to read any of your writing or talk about your creative story ideas and give notes.
