ABOUT ME

I'm gay but without a partner. Enjoy black coffee, red wine, cooking, hiking, driving, travelling, languages. I'm involved in the local community - secretary of local town twinning association (with Eaubonne in France) - delegate on the Derbyshire Network of the University of the Third Age - was treasurer of European Forum of LGBT Christian Groups 2010-2016. Mayor of Matlock Town Council 2016-2017. I sing with an amateur, but very professionally organised, choir, Derbyshire Singers, and have recently joined City Singers in Derby.

Went on an overland trip London to Nairobi. Climbed to the Hermitage near Tamanrasset in Algeria to watch the sunrise. Met a local there who was trying to reconnect with his Muslim faith . . . fascinating discussions. Quite a group there as the sun rose . . . we all burst into tears of joy and hugged one another . . . unforgettable
