Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

On my way back out to California... Doing the exact same road trip that I did last fall. Met some incredible surfers and I'm sure I will have a similar experience.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I used CS on my massive road trip from the east coast to California, and it was incredible! I stayed with some amazing people and had some memorable experiences. You can't beat a local tour guide. What an amazing community! It gives me faith in humanity.

Interests

As a musician I'm interested in any kind of good singing and music making and do quite a bit of that myself... currently mastering the ukulele! Yoga gets me going... as well as yummy vegetarian food and wine and beer. I enjoy being outside as much as possible- each summer I do my best to enjoy nature with friends as a camp counselor (the best job in the world). As a recent college graduate, it's time to travel and see the world, starting with this fabulous country. This fall I'm going to be a middle and highschool music teacher!

Love fantasy, currently trudging along through Lynn Flewelling's nightrunner series. Major Harry Potter fan, along with the Chronicles (what?) of Narnia.

I have varied musical tastes: I want to have Beyoné's children, Shane and Shane are awesome, Bach is my bestie. I like the *womp womp,* too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'll never forget two trips that I've taken- my first backpacking trip in Colorado and sailing in the British Virgin Islands with my father, an avid sailor, and sister, a dear friend. Colorado was a journey unlike any other, traveling on your own two feet and seeing such incredible majesty... The BVIs were unbelievable with such clear water and wind-powered movement. Then my road trip out west- oh my Lord! We live in such an amazing country.

Let's do handstands and sing like an opera singer! I just spent 6 months learning about Yoga from some incredible people in CA, so I'm down to talk about that, too.
