i live and work in Anchorage Alaska. One reason I decided to live in Alaska because it is a fascinating class of forces, indiginous cultures are rapidly transforming to co-exist with the rest of America. industry clashes with nature. Everyone tells a different version of the myth, the past and the future. Also, Alaska is a useful mechanism for self discovery. i am generally interested in the world and plan to see some more of it. i would like to meet interesting people from around the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I am watching spanish language movies as part of my home immersion program.
Music: I am interested in american folk music particularly the blues guitar players, Mississippi john hurt, son house and muddy waters. And a bunch of bob dylan songs. i like when the rolling stones start there songs with the accoustic guitar. And Jazz.
Books; i recommend 'Ordinary Wolves' one well told Alaskan story.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

today, while skating across a lake of clear green ice, towards a glacier, I watched an eagle soar overhead and wondered aloud, do eagles get cold?

I'm interested in what you expect out of Alaska before you arrive. i'm interested in you thoughts after you go. Too often our vision depends upon the distorting lens of permission. we only see what we have been given permission to see. I can give you permission to see a different Alaska. i am hoping you will give me permission to see anew as well.
