About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To see it all one paycheck at a time.
ABOUT ME
There is not enough time to see what I want to see, but I will not die holding onto any regrets. Instead, I've decided to do something about it. I want to see it all.
I laugh easy and I love to make friends in new places. The different cultures, foods, smells, sights, sounds...they make it all worth it.
PHILOSOPHY
You can think of a thousand reasons not to do it, but if they are all fear-based, you should probably just do it. But please don't pet the bears.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I hosted my first couch surfer and it was awesome! I think I'm ready to test out a couch or two myself.
Watch out, world!
Interests
I love hiking, swimming at midnight, biking faster than traffic (which is pretty easy in Seattle), planning my next trip, eating the good food (thank you, yelpers!), discovering new alleys, training my dogs to do ridiculously unnecessary tricks, picking flowers (my apologies to some of my neighbors), staying awake to read just one more page of a great book until you've finished the book and it's 1am, thrift store shopping, thinking of new ways to lose weight and buying a cupcake from the bakery with 5 stars.

Music, Movies, and Books
Just a small selection of books I love: Grapes of Wrath, Night Circus, Gourmet Rhapsody, Elegance of the Hedgehog, Bonobo Handshake, anything by Joe Sacco, Guy Delisle, The Little Prince
Some movies, actors, directors I really like: Wes Anderson, Steve Martin, Star Trek, Bill Murray, Madeline Kahn, Animated shorts, Svankmajer, Kate Winslet, Judd Apatow, Firefly series, Neil Patrick Harris, Tim Curry, Mel Brooks, William Shatner
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I watched the total solar eclipse from the desert on the Egyptian/Libyan border in a makeshift camp of colored rugs and poles turned into tents.
Teach, Learn, Share
I like unpretentious people that can teach without being condescending. Also, if you like board games, we may just have to be best friends.
