About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Have a great time. Feel good.

ABOUT ME

Things I love: playing guitar, skiing, watching the Mets and Giants, backpacking, being in the outdoors, jumping off of things into water, road-tripping around the West, eating giant sandwiches, palling around with my friends and doing all that I can do to have the best time possible.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Live on top of a mesa with a great view of the mountains. Got a nice futon and a nice roommate. I'll help you out if you help me out one day down the road.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

These kids in my town once found an old couch that someone was throwing away and then dragged it to the railroad tracks, lit it on fire, and danced around yelling. This is more couch burning than couch surfing.

I'm into the milder side of couches -- sleeping on them, sitting on them, laying on them.

Music, Movies, and Books

AA Bondy, Felice Brothers, Dead Meadow, Bob Dylan, Iron and Wine, White Stripes, Black Keys, Miles Davis, Conor Oberst, Jimmy Eat World, Fleet Foxes -- music that makes me feel, or takes me to another place.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The Giants beating the Patriots in the 2007 Superbowl.

I am anything but a meathead. But this was the classic Cinderalla tale, the essential David vs. Goliath battle, the epitome of heart over muscle. The times you are least expected to succeed are the times that triumph is the sweetest. The harder you work for something, the more satisfying it is. Faith is so often misplaced, and trust is so hard to earn and spend. But when I saw Eli jog onto the field with 2:40 seconds left, down by 3, with his team's season and sporting history on the line, I felt nothing but confidence, and trusted him with all my heart. For him to come through, and validate that faith, was so reassuring, a truly special feeling. It's not about football: It's about being rewarded for faith and perseverance, even when it seems like a situation is hopeless.
