About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To get out and see something.

ABOUT ME

I'm a hard working guy with some time to travel. I climb mountains, ride motorcycles, drink beer, and work out. I also like to read about philosophy, culture, and economics. When I'm not out working, climbing something, partying, or studying, I like to cook. Sometimes I even sleep.

PHILOSOPHY

I treat everyone as an equal until proven otherwise.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just returned to the US so I'm opening my couch to surfers for the first time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I went to the monthly Couchsurfing meeting in Stuttgart. It was a great meeting others who want to travel and socializing with people from different cultures. I think my table had people from four different continents at one point.

Interests

I sort of covered that already. I'm really all about mountaineering and visiting interesting off the beaten path places.

Music, Movies, and Books

A is A. Keeping that in mind makes all the more complicated decisions a bit easier.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'd have to say many of the mountains I've climbed would be classified as amazing experiences. I also got lost (figuratively) in Catalonia for about a week and saw many out of the way places. I've wandered the Utah desert and many wild places in the western US. Lots of great experiences.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like people who are passionate about what they are interested in, and know these things in detail. Everyone has superficial opinions about things, and those really aren't worth listening to. But if you've got some understanding and experience, then I'm always excited to listen.

Countries I’ve Visited

Albania, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, England, France, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Mexico, Moldova, Netherlands, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany, Italy, United States
