I ended up at a cosmonaut party in Atlanta. Dippin' dots will never be the same.

18th-century English and European literature and culture; hiking, canoeing, camping, downhill & cross-country skiing; environmental issues (as if there's anything that isn't an environmental issue); old bicycles; the ineffable horror of Virginia politics; cooking and eating good food of all kinds, with a funny little fetish for Hungarian.

Movies: Wes Anderson, Werner Herzog, RUBIN & ED.

Music: I grew up as a serious indie-rock geek, now branching out all over the place. Got a thing for Albert Ayler, but still carrying a torch for the Mountain Goats. I usually buy vinyl at thrift stores, which lately has gotten me into both '50s calypso and Ozzy Osbourne. And I like the cars -- the cars that go boom.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
