About Me

CURRENT MISSION

On a clockwise Adventure through Spain to enjoy nature, see new things and remember how to draw

ABOUT ME

I know I have no references but this is my first time surfing, I promise to be trustworthy!
I am so excited to be roaming in this crazy world! I have many interests, expecially cooking, art, wine, music and having adventures with new friends! I always knew my small town in the redwood forests of California was too small for me, and I am traveling outside the states for the first time. I am a bit of a beach hippie and would love to explore outside, or in these beautiful old Spanish cities. At home I was known for my hugs, meaningful conversations, my sense of humor, and my good cooking. I can promise I will be an interesting and helpful friend, and I will always do the dishes.

PHILOSOPHY

I decided to come to Spain to remember who I am, how to live and love and make art before I dive into grad school.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just began my 3-month journey all around Spain. I have never been in a foreign country before, and I am very excited by all the beauty I see around me here. However, one of the farms I had been planning to work on cancelled, so I have turned to CS Project in a last minute emergency, hoping to find a place to stay!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I lived in a 127 person collective housing co-op during my education in Berkeley. As a house we hosted dozens of couchsurfers, including a girl from France who loved us so much she never went home!

Interests

Exploring nature, photography, architecture, reading, drawing, painting, cooking, dancing, laying in the sunshine, attempting to speak Spanish.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I don´t watch movies or television very much at all, but I did like The Lives of Others, Darjeeling Limited, Harold and Maude, and Baraka.
Music: folk, techno, motown, I love experiencing new sounds. Current favorites are Devendra Banhart and Four Tet.
Books: Alice in Wonderland is my favorite book. I love reading, favorite authors: Tom Robbins, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, J.R.R. Tolkien....

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going off a rope swing over a lake, only to have the rope be a bungee cord that was like a slingshot, I flew 50 meters in the air. I have seen a lot of beautiful places backpacking in the States, especially the Puget Sound in Washington state.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a VERY good cook! I cooked professionally for years. I also give good massages, my father is a professor of medical massage. Lots of skills, jack of all trades really, including building, gardening, sewing, yoga, but the first two are probably the two most important.
