I've been living on the edge of the big wild on the Sunshine Coast in BC surrounded by deer, elk, ravens, great fishing spots and glorious silence.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've only couchsurfed a few times in Kauai but each time I was absolutely blown away by the kindness and generosity of my hosts. Showing up with a bag of groceries and a bottle of their favorite beverage seemed like the very least I could do to say thanks! Finally I've got a couch I can make available to the world...so welcome!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A great guy on a sailboat in Hawaii told me about Couchsurfing and it connected with me with fabulous folks on Kauai for the last half of my trip. In fact, it connected me into a fantastic series of coincidences linked to a previous adventure there 18 years previously. Even I think the story sounds a little flaky but I checked my old journals and it's all there. Maybe I'll tell you about it someday...life is rich.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've had many very close encounters with very big and very small wild animals. Each one of those eyeball to eyeball moments reminds me of my real place in the natural order and leaves me trembling with gratitude. More please
